As early as in 1976-77, the Company received official recognition as a leading exporter of cotton yarn when it was awarded Certificate of Merit by the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) for bright export performance. Similar Certificate of Merit was awarded to the Company in 1978-79. A few years later, the Company achieved remarkable success in the field of exports and for four years in a row from 1984-85 was awarded Silver Trophy by the Texprocil for excellent export performance. With the exception of Bronze Trophies in 1988-89 and 1989-90, the Company was again awarded Silver Trophies by the Texprocil for three successive years from 1990-91 for excellent performance in exports of cotton yam as well as Gold Trophy for the year 1995/96

For the first time in the history of the Company, it received National Export Award for outstanding export performance in cotton yam and textiles for the year 1991-92 from the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
The award was presented to Shri R.K. Patodia, Managing Director of the Company, by no less a person than His Excellency Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, President of India, on 17th October, 1994, at a function held at New Delhi.
As a top exporter of the country, the Company also bagged Canara Bank's Outstanding Exporters' Award for the year 1992-93, which was given away by Dr. C. Rangarajan, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, at a special function.

In the following year, the Calcutta circle of Canara Bank presented to the Company the Export Excellence award for 1993-94, which was graced by Shri Madan Lal Patodia,Chairman and Managing Director of the Company.
